Cook Islands - Part One

Paradise found! We arrived on the beautiful island of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands (in the South Pacific, about half way between Hawaii and New Zealand) on Monday morning. Only one of the three booked rooms in a seventeen-room hotel, our room overlooks one of the most stunning lagoons in the world. The New Zealand influences are apparent in the currency, the accents of the locals, and the vegemite served with breakfast (yummy!) The snorkeling about 10 feet off the white sands of the beach at our hotel was amazing! Our flight to Aitutaki leaves tomorrow morning, so check back in a few days for some more pictures of our wonderful journey!
